"I can think of no other Theologian [Rabbi Stephen Lewis Fuchs], who has done more to foster Peace and Understanding, unless it would be the Dalai Lama.” ~ Donald (Skip) Conover.
In this episode of A Spotlight on Faith, Prof. Joe Goldblatt interviews Rabbi Stephen and Vickie Fuchs. Their fascinating conversation covers the power of hope in Judaism, and what perspective this can offer us of the COVID-19 pandemic and race relations in the US; and their work in Germany, where they visit schools, churches, synagogues and institutions telling the story of their parents, survivors of the Holocaust. Vickie is a retired schoolteacher, and Stephen has been in the Rabbinate an incredible 40 years. He is currently the spiritual leader at Bat Yam Temple of the Islands, in Sanibel Island, Florida. In Stephen's distinguished career he has published numerous books and articles, conducted many high-profile talks, and Stephen and Vickie travel the world educating students on the Holocaust and advocating for interfaith understanding and justice!

Repeatedly in the Bible, it is the woman who 'gets it' and the man who is clueless. Eve has been maligned for generations for the supposed fall of man, when in fact; she is the heroine of the elevation of humanity. ~
